Let’s Talk About It! Ethics

Are you often in the field wondering if you are making ethical decisions or not. Do you feel anxious when you hear the phrase that’s an ethical dilemma. During this course participants will gain an understanding of ethics, values, and principles. Participants will have an opportunity to reflect on scenarios and examples that have been ethical or unethical. This course will provide insight and knowledge on framework to make ethical decisions.

About the Instructor

Denielle Randall, LCSW-C, RPT, VAS III is a licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree from Morgan State University. She began her career over 20 years ago in child welfare working as a childcare specialist and a residential supervisor for a girls shelter at The Children’s Home. Ms. Randall is trauma informed and is a certified Maryland Victim Assistant Specialist 3rd level. She is also certified as a Registered Play therapist and a board approved Supervisor for Social Workers and Professional Counselors.

Learning Objectives

  • Participants will review ethical principles and standards

  • Participants will analyze different frameworks for ethical decision-making

  • Participants will apply ethical decision-making skills to practice scenarios

  • Participants will identify the impact of one’s own values, principles, and personal codes of ethics and the impact they have on practice.

  • Participants will examine and identify potential ethical dilemmas when confronted with differing personal and professional ethical directives.

9:15-10:15am – Purpose of NASW Code of Ethics

10:15-10:45am – Ethical Principles and Standards

10:45-11:00am – Break

11:00-11:45am – Ethics Violation Activity

11:45-12:30pm – How to Resolve Ethical Dilemma and Questions

This live webinar is fully interactive. Attendees may ask and answer questions throughout the presentation and participate in instructor-led discussions.

Cost is $99 (on or before Aug. 31, 2024) or $125 (after Aug. 31, 2024) and includes CE credit. Registration closes on Sept. 10, 2024.

Oct. 11, 2024 Training

Cost is $99 (on or before Sept. 30, 2024) or $125 (after Sept. 30, 2024) and includes CE credit. Registration closes on Oct. 9, 2024.

Course Completion & CE Info

Course completion requirements: To earn CE credit, social workers must log in at the scheduled time, attend the entire course and complete an online course evaluation. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 10 business days of course completion.

Elevate Together LLC, #1878, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 06/24/24 - 06/24/25.
